My beautiful wedding shoes

I own everything from Chanel and Chloe pumps through to a £2 pair of charity shows. If something looks nice, it doesn’t matter on the name.
I couldn’t wait to choose my wedding shoes. (Almost as much as the dress). I didn’t want the same old wedding shoe, I wanted a pair I could wear again and that represented me.

So let me introduce you to my stunning shoes, the gorgeous Angelo cutout leather pumps by Sophia Webster.

What wedding shoes did you go for?

Customised Nikes

Valentines has now passed, but my present hasn’t. I introduce to you my new trainers.

They have my name on them and everything.

They also make me run faster. Well that’s what I like to think.

You can go online and make your own here. I had lot’s of fun doing so.

New York City Tartan

Anyone who knows me, will know I have a big place in my heart for New York City. It is full of fond memories, from family holidays, to interning and fun with friends.

So when my Mum sent me a bag of goodies, and this was included, I was over the moon.

‘The tartan has been created to celebrate Tartan Day April 6th 2002 in New York City on the occasion of the greatest parade of pipes and drums yet seen. The tartan depicts the colourings of the streets and buildings of the city. With the green sections representing Central Park. The two black stripes are to honour the memory of the twin towers of the World Trade Center, with the blue section recognising the island of Manhattan surrounded by the Hudson, Harlem & East Rivers.

It is no accident that these colours also depict those worn by the Celtic nations represented in the world wide pipe band fraternity participating in tunes of glory in New York City and so significantly the gold/brown stripe also recognises the involvement of Americas Gilda’s Club Cancer Charity, who with the Marie Curie Cancer Fund in the UK were major recipients of the funds raised at the event.’

I can’t wait to start wearing it (and with this weather, I don’t think I need to wait very long)

I’m not sure if you can still buy these, but perhaps visit:

Happy feet = Happy girl

You know what they say, happy feet makes a happy girl…

Ok, so I maybe made this up, but who doesn’t love buying a brand new pair of shoes, taking them hope, opening the box, and slipping them on your feet for their first outing.

After years of wanting them, I got my very first pair of Chanel’s a couple of months ago.

Last weekend I was in the Knightsbridge area, so decided to have a little look in Harrods, I mean, what’s the worst that could happen.

An hour later I left with these….

They are just the right height for me, and so soft and comfortable.

I also popped along to Tods and picked up these beauties. (I absolutely love Tods – I got a pair a few years ago and they are just like wearing slippers)

I am certainly a happy girl, and have very happy feet (but I think I may ban myself from shoe shopping for a while).

The Top Knot

As soon as I get home from a busy day, I always put my hair up in a top knot, I have been doing this for years, but recently I have been wearing it out like this too – so simple, and no rain or wind can ruin it!

I have pretty long hair (but it is quite fine), I basically twist by hair from root to tip, holding the base of the twisted hair to support it.

Then  I roll it round towards my head (keeping my middle finger as a central point for the hair to wrap around), and pull the tip of my twisted tail through the middle of the hair, where my finger has made a hole. hair 1 Once I have pulled my hair through, I shake my head around to make sure it feels secure.

I don’t use any hair grips, but if you have heavy hair, you may want to add some grips or even a hair band to hold it in place.

Voila – a top knot ready to go

Getting ready for winter

I am a huge fan of summer. My wardrobe is bursting with strappy dresses, and this year I saw my collection grow…

sumer dress

I thought It would be pretty emotional packing them away and saying goodbye to the summer, but I’m actually getting excited about winter. Yes, it means I will be waking up to dark, and getting home in the dark, but you know what else it means? The Autumn/Winter wardrobe makes an appearance (and it is only right to add to my collection)

The past few weeks I have done just that.

Here are a few of my recent purchases:

  1. Plum and black pumps – Primark

I love these bargain buys! I may have to go back and pick up some more.

          ??????????????????????????????? ???????????????????????????????

2. Faux fur gilet – Zara basic – past season (I picked this up in a charity shop)

I have wanted one of these for soooo long, I already have a black shearling version, but I wanted a heavier one to put over a smart black coat for those super cold evenings.

3.  Faux fur stole – Zara  I can’t find the black one online anywhere, but found this colour here. I love throwing huge faux fur scarves over my leather jacket, so this was perfect.

4. Black jacket – Whistles (I also picked this up from a charity shop, just what i was looking for). The perfect coat to be able to wear my new faux fur over.

Now winter is here, my ray ban’s will be making a strong appearance, for those lovely freezing sunny days. I love the special series they do, these are from series # 3. More info here

So I can smile happily, say goodbye to my summer tan, and hello to winter and all the warm toasty clothes it brings.
